Ed’s Brand New Business Owner

Ed’s Brand New Business Owner Nick – New Franchisee Alert

Ed’s brand new business owner is our hot off the press news of the day.

‘Tis certainly the season to be jolly… There is a new guy in town this December at Ed’s… His name is Nicholas… Furthermore, he has a penchant for winter greenery. Any ideas who it might be?

It’s not the Nick you are probably thinking of but it is exciting news all the same. Our newest franchisee is Nick Fewlass and he is going to be running his brand new Ed’s gardening franchise business in Byfleet, Surrey. Nick has only just signed his Ed’s contract and we are very happy to welcome him aboard.

Nick comes to Ed’s with a strong gardening background, both the theory and the practice. We are sure that he will put all his experience to very good use in establishing his very own garden franchise business.

Here is what Nick had to say about his decision to join Ed’s…

Ed’s Brand New Business Owner – Why a gardening franchise?

“I’ve built up a lot of gardening experience over the years and I definitely still get a big thrill from the great outdoors and gardening. That is definitely the life for me. I am in my element doing practical jobs and I am very much a people person. I have worked for a private estate for a number of years. Whilst I have enjoyed my time there, I have always had a niggle that I really wanted to develop my role further and have control of my own business. I take pride in my work and to have my own business to be proud of takes that to a whole new level. In summary, I guess I just want to develop my full potential.”

“Ed’s presents me with the perfect opportunity to do just that. I am confident in delivering the gardening services. Furthermore, I believe that I will be able to build good relationships with customers. However, the business side is totally new to me. Whilst I know that I could probably start from scratch if I wanted to, it’s clear that I will gain a lot from being part of a franchise business. I don’t want to waste time making silly mistakes that I could easily bypass going the franchise route. With a quality franchise behind me I will be in a great position to grow a quality business in an efficient way. I am ambitious with my future plans. That means that I really want to leverage all the help that I can get from the franchise. Thus I firmly believe that the franchise route is key to helping me to grow the best gardening business that I can.”

Why Ed’s?

“Ed’s was the missing bit of the jigsaw for me. I knew I wanted to be part of a franchise. But it had to be the right franchise for me. With Ed’s I felt that the fit was right from the start. Both from the perspective of the kind of franchise I wanted to be part of at a business level but also the culture of the franchise. From the start I had a strong feeling that I would be happy to be part of the Ed’s team. The joining process has been very thorough. However, it has also been enjoyable and paced. I have got to find out more about what it will be like to be an Ed’s business owner. Finally, I know Ed’s already has a very good brand presence in my wider geographic area and beyond– and I look forward to leveraging that to the full.”

It just felt like the stars were aligned with Ed’s and I have felt very comfortable with my decision throughout. There was never any hard sell – it was much more about working out if the fit was right for both parties. It was evident quite early on that the fit was excellent but Ed’s still put me through all my paces to make sure that their franchise really was the right thing for me”

Ed’s Brand New Business Owner – Next Steps

“It’s a great time of year to be joining Ed’s. I will be able to meet a number of Ed’s business owners at Christmas Drinks next week. A brilliant ice breaker. Then, after the Christmas break I will start my induction training and get everything ship shape and ready to go for the start of spring. There is also an Ed’s group training day planned for January so I will get a chance to meet a lot of the other Ed’s franchisees in a business setting. I have a feeling that 2024 is going to be a really exciting year for me. “

We wish Nick all the best with his new Ed’s business and look forward to updating on his progress.
