My life has moved on quite a bit since I joined Ed's. I'm now married and have a young child. When I joined Ed's, the freedom was all about being able to jet off to some far flung surfing location. Now it's more about having the flexibility to be there to see my baby grow up but still run a good business. In a nutshell, Ed's still gives me the freedom to live the life I want and you just can't put a price tag on that.

Prior to Ed's I was involved in property development and landscape gardening. I really enjoyed gardening and knew I wanted to run my own gardening business. I saw the franchise route as a way of establishing my business quickly and reducing the risk. I looked at various gardening franchises and Ed's appealed to me for various reasons but a big consideration was the scale of investment. I started in November 2012 and threw myself into my business immediately. Ed's marketing has really helped me get up and running quickly. The icing on the cake is that Ed's is a great lifestyle fit for me - I love travel and it gives me the freedom to work hard but take time off to travel in the winter months - without asking anyone's permission!
