I have grown so much in knowledge since joining Ed's. Delivering the services was relatively straightforward to me as my background is as a groundsman. However, running a gardening business is a totally different ball game from being an employee. I am happy with my business and love the lifestyle that goes with it. We have had some great holidays since I joined Ed's. In fact, we are just back from Cape Verde for a splash of winter sun before the season kicks off and I get really busy again.

I was a groundsman for years before joining Ed's. I loved the work, not so much the structure and lack of control. I always dreamed of having my own gardening business but knew there was a lot more to it than doing the gardening work. I would say that the Ed's franchise route is a great vehicle to overcoming your fear of the unknown. I would be fazed by the idea of starting my own independent gardening business if I thought about what was involved and the earnings figures I am targeting. However, with Ed’s it all feels very achievable. They support you every step of your journey. I know for a fact other business owners who joined a year or so ago are doing brilliantly. That fills me with confidence about my own future.
