I lived in Greece until a few years ago, where I worked as a grape producer. Since moving to the UK, I trained as a chef and subsequently worked in the hospitality sector. I enjoyed the buzz and pressure of the kitchen and the customer focus of the job. However, I also hankered after a more outdoorsy life of a more physical nature. I also wanted more freedom to enjoy life as well as enjoying work. I thought about setting up as an independent gardener but knew that I would get much further as part of a successful franchise. When I looked more closely at the options, Ed's was the obvious route for me. As soon as I made this decision, I was keen to get on and get established with my business.
