I wanted to work outdoors when I arrived in the UK as I'd been a farmer in Zimbabwe. Ed's Garden Maintenance franchise was ideal because it helped get my business running even though I had no local contacts. The marketing help and pipeline of initial work was invaluable, and I built up 40 regular customers. Now I have sold the business because I am going back to Africa, but it provided a good living for four years and I sold at a profit.
